Successful Clinical Feedback from Tan Tock Seng Hospital EVEMPT Project

Initial user feedback from the Tan Tock Seng Hospital EVEMPT project, short for Education with Virtual Reality in Emergency Medicine and Prehospital Training, has been positive across realism, satisfaction and learning value.

Participants trained on field management of a road traffic accident in SkillupVR. 94% rated the realism of the experience as somewhat or very immersive, and 88% said they were satisfied with or enjoyed training in VR.

On learning outcomes, 94% reported that VR met or well met their learning needs for care plans and critical thinking, compared with 50% for conventional training.

These findings suggest that VR can be a viable tool for training emergency teams in HALO (high-acuity, low-occurrence) scenarios, offering hands-on experience in a safe, reproducible environment.
